2. Introduction

2.1    We understand that from time to time you may wish to return a product to us.

2.2    We have created this policy to enable you to return products to us in appropriate circumstances.

2.3    This policy shall apply to all of our customers, irrespective of their geographical location.

2.4    This policy shall apply to all orders submitted through our website.

2.5 Our refund and returns policy lasts 14 from the date you received your goods. If 14 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

2.6    This document does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer (such as rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 or the Consumer Rights Act 2015).

3. Returns

3.1    If you have no other legal right to return a product and receive a refund or exchange, then you will nonetheless be entitled to return a product to us and receive a refund in accordance with this policy if:

  • (a) we receive the returned product within 14 days following the date of delivery;
  • (b) the returned product is unused, in its original unopened packaging (with any seal or shrink-wrap intact), with any labels still attached, and otherwise in a condition enabling us to sell the product as new;
  • (c) you comply with the procedure set out in this policy in relation to the return of the product; and
  • (d) none of the exclusions set out in this policy apply.

4. Returns Procedure

4.1    In order to take advantage of your rights under this policy, you must contact us via email ([email protected]) to let us know of your intention to return an item(s) and for what reason as we may not want you to return the item.

  • (a) We reserve the right to exchange damaged items without them first being returned to us
  • (b) To speed up the process we have most or our returns shipped directly to our suppliers PO Box. Your order will have a note containing return instructions.
  • (c) Other items will need to be shipped directly to us, please contact us and we will provide you with instructions.
  • (d) Returns incur a fee of £1.25 plus 55p per item which will also be deducted from your refund, except in the event outline in 4.3

4.2    Products in the UK returned under this policy must be sent by Royal Mail 2nd Class Tracked.

4.3    You will be responsible for paying postage costs associated with returns under this policy, unless the goods were sold as new and are being returned because they arrived damaged. In this case once the return is accepted and processed we will also refund you the cost of postage to a maximum value of the cheapest tracked method.

4.4 If your goods arrived damaged you must notify us within 3 days from the date of delivery. Beyond this time frame we cannot accept responsibility for the condition of the item and will therefore not accept a return.

4.5 We advise you to use a tracked service as we don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item. If an item is not received it is your responsibility to raise a claim against the delivery company you use. We are not responsible for the goods until they are back in our possession and therefore cannot refund or exchange goods we have not received.

5. Exclusions

5.1    The following types of products may not be returned under this policy:

  • (a) Gift cards
  • (b) DVDs, CDs and other audio or video or audio-visual recordings;
  • (c) any product made to order, such as books printed on demand and items marked as ‘firm sale’;
  • (d) any product personalised or adapted for you
  • (e) subscriptions
  • (f) membership
  • (g) firm sale items

5.2 There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted or credit is offered, at our discretion:

  • a)    Book with obvious signs of use
  • b)    CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
  • c)    Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • d)    Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery (if we have previously agreed)

6. Refunds

6.1    We will give you a refund for the price you paid to us in respect of any product properly returned by you in accordance with this policy.

6.2    We will not refund to you the original delivery charges relating to the returned product. Where the original postage offered was free we will still deduct the actual costs we incurred for the original delivery.

6.3    We will not refund to you any costs you incur in returning the product to us, except in the instance outlined in 4.3.

6.4    We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase.

6.5    We will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any event, within 14 days following the day we receive your returned product.

6.6 We reserve the right to offer an exchange for damaged goods without them first being returned to us.

7. Improper Returns

7.1    If you return a product in contravention of this policy, and you do not have any other legal right to a refund or exchange in respect of that product:

  • (a)    we will not refund the purchase price or exchange the product;
  • (b)    we may retain the returned product until you pay to us such additional amount as we may charge for re-delivery of the returned product; and
  • (c)    if we do not receive payment of such additional amount within 14 days of issuing a request for payment, we may destroy or otherwise dispose of the returned product in our sole discretion without any liability to you.
